Re: [PCWorks] Basic XP system and accessing the internet

What have I got myself into!
******************************
My router is as follows;

Setup>Basic Setup

Internet connection type: PPPoE

DHCP Server: Enabled (doesn't jive with the DDNS being disabled.)

Starting IP: 192.168.1.100

Max numbers of users: 50

On the Setup>DDNS

DDNS: Disabled (this confuses me.)

Linksys WRT54G

My security system has an Static IP of 74.xxx.xxx.x and so on.

Yet it also has an address of 192.168.1.10

Now why would all that confuse anyone?

To me it is like saying my address here at the house is 139 but it also
197 and I could change it to a dynamic address and keep changing it each
time you look. Now I'm trying to nail this moving target.

Probably should have sent this off list as it doesn't interest many other.

I'll try it again with the tinyurl thing even though I do not understand.

Have a great day and confused!
