On another note, you can get an external drive enclosure. I use the Venus DS3 ( http://store.yahoo.com/directron/ds2316b2bk.html ) and just bought a Seagate 300GB HD when it was on sale. The enclosure cost $36 and the HD cost $150 after rebate. So, you're talking about $186 for a 300GB external drive. Buy an already-made external drive and you're usually talking more than $1/GB. ---Troth -----Original Message----- From: pctechtalk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:pctechtalk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Beverly Hahn Sent: Saturday, February 12, 2005 6:34 PM To: pctechtalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Re: reformating hard drive. Thanks. Guess I'll have to part with a little money! Beverly ~OoO~ wrote: >If you're gonna backup the entire thing, you really should go out and get >yourself an external USB or Firewire drive.
