Ok - had to check mine - with all of this discussion. I have 
xphome - sp2. it is on my computer.
We put the operating system on it when my son built the 
computer - it wasn't put on by a shop.

Hmmmm.. I have Win XP Home Edition. I have upgraded to SP2 
but never did any
update to put BackUp on it. Maybe it is part of SP2. Because 
I definitely
have BackUP as an option although I have never used this - 
only the Restore
feature.
