Cristy... try something else, too. Create a new CP user account (CONTROL =
PANEL > USERS). Name it whatever you like. Then switch to that account. =
Once in there, try opening a Word document or creating one from the new =
account and see if you get the hang up as well. I'd really bet its =
something messed up in your settings, or possibly running in the =
background. With a new account, you may be able to bypass it. Before we =
go this route, though, first see if it works on the new account. Then, =
we can take it from there.

Aha, now I see normal.dot!! finally I changed it to show extensions. =

still have not fixed my issue. I an not inclined to try and do all that =

article says, as I am not even sure if that is the problem and it is a =

confusing to me. I am tempted to buy the Microsoft Office 2003 Pro =
through=20
my school where I am taking classes as it is sold there for &70.00 which =
is=20
a value Im sure and will upgrade my Office 2000 and maybe fix my issues.
I did try several times uninstalling and reinstalling my Office 2000 and =
did=20
not help. I also updated Office files at Microsoft site.
