Yes..;) thanks Troth. Aha, now I see normal.dot!! finally I changed it to show extensions. But I still have not fixed my issue. I an not inclined to try and do all that the article says, as I am not even sure if that is the problem and it is a bit confusing to me. I am tempted to buy the Microsoft Office 2003 Pro through my school where I am taking classes as it is sold there for &70.00 which is a value Im sure and will upgrade my Office 2000 and maybe fix my issues. I did try several times uninstalling and reinstalling my Office 2000 and did not help. I also updated Office files at Microsoft site. cristy ----- Original Message ----- From: "~OoO~" <sirtroth@xxxxxxxxx> To: <pctechtalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Sunday, October 02, 2005 11:59 AM Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Re: microsoft word hanging up > Is your system set up to hide extensions? > > ---Troth > > > -----Original Message----- > From: pctechtalk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx = > [mailto:pctechtalk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of cristy > Sent: Sunday, October 02, 2005 11:53 AM > To: pctechtalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > Subject: -=3DPCTechTalk=3D- Re: microsoft word hanging up > > Thanks Chris, > > Now is finding the templates but I still see no reference to the = > extension=20 > ".dot" that was what I was missing. > > christy > > ----- Original Message -----=20 > From: "Chris Spotta" <chris@xxxxxxxxxx> > To: <pctechtalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> > Sent: Sunday, October 02, 2005 11:17 AM > Subject: -=3DPCTechTalk=3D- Re: microsoft word hanging up > > >> It might help to make sure the option 'search hidden files and = > folders' >> Is ticked under 'advanced options' in the search box. >> >> Regards >> >> Chris >> callto://spotta/ >> chris@xxxxxxxxxx >> http://www.spotta.com >> >> >> -----Original Message----- >> From: pctechtalk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx >> [mailto:pctechtalk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of ~OoO~ >> Sent: 02 October 2005 15:04 >> To: pctechtalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx >> Subject: -=3DPCTechTalk=3D- Re: microsoft word hanging up >> >> Sorry, cristy...
