Hi MN and all,
Can someone clear something up for me please? I'm not really into music or
other multimedia on the computer, but my daughter is growing up and now
asking about Kazaa which her friends have.
What is the bottom line about the legality issues? Is most of what's
available on Kazaa/WinMX/all the other names you've mentioned -- music that
other people have recorded from CDs they bought? Or is there original free
music available too? Movies? Bits recorded from TV shows (my daughter's
interest)? If she wants to download stuff is she ethically or rule-bound
expected to provide music that she has recorded too? I took a look at the
Kazaa site but it wasn't explained very clearly, and I'd rather not download
just to read the info. Do we need an always-on connection?
