Jo Ann,
I have Picassa 2.
I select the picture I want to change by double clicking it.
It brings up a box where I can make the changes.
I do the changes, click apply or OK
Go back to the library (arrow box right above basic fixes)
With picture highlighted that I've changed,
Click File
Click "export picture to folder"
Specify which folder
Click OK
In Picassa 2 album I will now have two pictures -- original and
the changed one.
