For all of the discussion about Norton and TrendMicro (or another AV program), it's not necessary to completely give upNorton SystemWorks. Uninstall the whole Norton shebang, install your replacement AV app, reboot and then reinstall SystemWorks. When it gets to the point where it offers you the Typical vs. Custom install (or something similar), opt for Custom. When it gets to the list of installable programs, Right click and deselect Norton AV from the group (you can also remove anything else you don't need or want, too) and then let it install the rest. The Utilities group, Ghost, etc. runs just fine alongside anything else I've tested it with, including numerous AV apps.
