John,

Seagate maybe able to recover all of your data from your 
drive. I know that they have that service. 

Here is another idea, maybe you could use thisdrive in 
an older machine that is running DOS. Set the parameters 
in BIOS to what it would be in DOS, Heads, etc. the old 
way we used to do it. Just maybe it will see enough fo 
the HD to let you in to fix it. Just a thought.
