I use the Accutome B Scan Plus for our Residents on call. It is a very fine
instrument. No financial interest...

Check out Accutome. Their B-scan is essentially a laptop with a probe attached.
You believe can send the file as pictures or movie. And the price is right too.

Subject: [optimal] DICOM and Ultrasound Machines

Hi Fellow Optimalers,

Is there anyone out there using an ultrasound machine with DICOM compatibility
that connects seamlessly with their EMR and/or image viewing system?

We've been using Ellex and are looking to purchase a new unit; however, they
are charging 3,000 extra to ship the unit with their new DICOM update. I'd
like to find out if there are other viable options. It seems with meaningful
use etc, this should be a standard feature.

Thanks group!

Alexis
