Maybe not.The cinema experience includes a paid ticket and a fixed time slot, setting up a possible cognitive dissonance against disliking the content. It involves a communal experience. It's in a dark room where the only significant light comes from the screen. It has mass marketing.
There are many differences between cinema and home viewing having nothing to do with image quality.
