[opendtv] Re: Blue Ray and HD DVD regional coding

I have already approached Philips through the channel suggested. They had
the not unexpected reply of..."We'll have to get back to you on that"

The annoying thing is it was purchased only 1 and a half years ago for
NZ $7500. A not insignificant amount, and I considered it an investment in
the making as HD disk technology was around the corner. The reality is this
display, and I presume many like it, are not fit for purpose as it applies
to HD DVD or Blue Ray technology. If they enable the down res. of the
component outputs then it is a significant problem.
