the white and green stake. Was walking to the North and hanging with a few
Duskies.
White head, dark front neck. Orange bill. Dark blue-gray body, stockier
than the other native geese. Photos. Glad to see this bird after dipping on
it 4 times over the last two weeks. Thanks to Nolan for finding it here

Spotted within a minute of us getting out of the car. Goose slightly
smaller than accompanying Dusky Canadas with all white face and back of
neck, black throat and front of neck, mottled metallic blue-gray and white
body, and all white tail. We have poor scope photos. Foraging on grassy
edge of cornstalks west of the pond, moving in and out of view through
cornstalks and marsh grasses, often with head down foraging, so hard to
see. Life bird for both of us! Dressed in its Siberian emporer's garb.
"Straight out of Siberia". A beautiful and uniquely plumaged goose,
certainly standing out among normal valley geese."

White throat. Dark "blobby" streaks against a very white breast/belly.
Ventral aspect of tail is dingy. Dorsal view of tail shows light gray base

Sullivan March 2010 article in Birding) and reddish toward distal portion
