- Comments: "Continuing Goose. Seen with a smaller group of cacklers south
side of Rentenaar Road in small pond near the cattle gates. Bluish goose
with white head, blueish gray neck, white end to tail when it took off.
Slightly larger than cacklers. Gorgeous bird, I feel so lucky to have
spotted it. See photos. Took off when some of the cacklers left. About 10
minutes later, a military plane went over and all the birds left."

- Comments: "Due to the Trumpeter remaining mostly isolated from the rest
of the Tundra Swans, and the distance across the marsh where it was lurking
(about 550 ft), it was difficult to tell relative sizes through binoculars,
but was a little more apparent after viewing my pictures. Compared to the
Tundras, this swan had a larger, more stout bill that made a V-shape on its
forehead when connecting to the white feathers versus the gentler U-shape
border seen in Tundras."

compared to the nearby Mountain's calls, the Chestnut-backed was slightly

- Comments: "A flock of 10-15 flying from one sand dune to another.
White belly, goldish brown breast, light brown/Buffy patch over ear. Long
white wings with dark putter portions. First noted flying overhead as we
started walking along north jetty dunes in tight flock going down behind
sea grass on dunes above rocks ahead of us and when we continue they took
off over our heads again. All in all they passed over our heads 3 times.
Two times east of the jetty gate and 1 time about 100 feet west of jetty
gate."
