Reeder Rd just south of Rentenaar/ Reeder junction. White head and back of
neck, deep blue throat. Breast and back feathers appear scaled, smaller
bill and grayish orange feet. Interesting marking/blemish in front of eyes,
similar to bird seen in area in 2015? Pictures to come."

- Comments: "Seen in flight, heading west. Was flying next to a Cackling
Goose, probably a minima, which it was similar to in size. It was loosely
associated with maybe 30-40 other CACG in flight. I noticed it right away
as it appeared darker than the CACG next to it, but there was a bit of
glare owing to the angle during that initial viewing. When it banked, I
noticed a goose with a black neck, a thin white “necklace” near the top of
the neck, and the absence of a white cheek patch on the face. This view was
in the sunlight, which was behind me at the time, offering perfect
lighting. I watched the bird for about 15 additional seconds as it
continued flying west and eventually out of sight, in the direction of
Sturgeon Lake."

around administration area, first by hearing "twittering" calls, and
viewing wedge
Viewed several wedges of Gray from side. Another flock of 25, or 30, seen
near Garfield summit trailhead. Heard calls, and viewed closely during a
glide-by."

- Comments: "Stopped at trailhead parking lot on way to coast and saw these
flying around edge and landed in parking lot. Gray crown and nape, black
forehead and throat, yellow beak, rosy-brown body, rosy shoulder patch and
flanks. Seen well at about 10 feet. Totally unexpected."
