- Comments: "Heard them vocalizing in and around yard and park yesterday
afternoon. They readily return to feeders if I place peanuts. They are more
vocal this am than precipusly. The higher pitched, more plaintive, less
hoarse single note call. It's fun to see them, but the yard is definitely
birdier when they are not here.
Interestingly, unlike Kent Coe's experience, i do not have Stellars when
the Blues are here."

lot. Female type, crisp, fine streaking on bright breast. Pale superciliary
region with prominent brown forecrown crest. Flew to the north, where I
later refound it atop trees at the clearing-pull off just below the main
parking area. At this second viewing it was with another bird (possibly a
male, but I didn’t get a direct view) and gave distinctive tidilip call
when it flew again."
