- Comments: "Accurate approximation. Seen in direct comparison with Snow
Geese. Distinctly, and uniformly smaller. Flying together, but mixed in
with a larger group of SNGO. Sounded slightly different, too, as the whole
flock sounded to have two different groups of vocalizations. I feel hybrid
SNGO x ROGO was eliminated, as the size difference was noticeable and all
20 or so of the birds appeared uniform in size. Admittedly, I only viewed
the flock with my naked eye, but was aided by the fact that the flock was
flying quite low to the ground and directly over my house, making
identification ideal for the circumstances. Finally, the lighting was
actually pretty decent, and the birds were seen quite well, as their mostly
white bodies stood out quite distinctly in the night sky."
