Appeared to be a juvenile. Throat whitish, breast faint gray with pale
yellow belly. Upper parts gray with dark tail with whitish outer tail
feathers. Was flycatching."

- Comments: "Stopped to look at a small bunch of chickadees and juncos.
Pished into view @30’ in a juniper. Kinglet-like with two faded wingbars
and a faded eyering and a vireo bill (not sharp like rc kinglet). Did not
flick about like a kinglet, but rather was more deliberate in its
movements. No photo’s, i had to pull ahead to get off roadway, saw it fly
but could not refind. Good view while I had it."

Bob Stites and Sandy Morrey. All red version of western tanager. Seen in
sycamore (?) tree on the northeast corner of farm house yard. Female seen
along with Bob Stites. More greenish than a female western without wing
