white barring on back. Brownish juvenile. Seen in brushy trees in ditch
just west of road, near informative sign on the pine tree trail. It flew in
and landed on one of the larger trees in ditch, I got good looks but not
fast enough to get photo before bird flew to brushy perch to the south,
then again farther south, lost sight of. I searched for over an hour but
never re-found. My sighting at 10:16. Continuing rarity, originally seen

beach access parking. Worked low along the trunk then in leaf litter along
the ground, allowing excellent views. I waved in another birder who
materialized out of the fog and got her on it. She got clear pictures and
we stayed on the bird for a few more minutes as it got caught up in a mixed
flock of warblers and kinglets working the lower branches of the tree-row,
then we lost it in the commotion of a passing truck."

- Comments: "Continuing monochrome warbler reported in this area since last
weekend. I found it around 1:45 PM foraging in the leaf litter and around
the bases of trees. Pin point for this list shows the location, though this
bird was very active, searching for food quickly then flying 30-80 feet
south to search another spot. It kept moving in this fashion parallel to
the road until I eventually lost sight of it."
