[obol] Fern Ridge, Lane County

I spent a few hours birding Fern Ridge this morning from the of Royal Ave.
and behind the WMA Headquarters.  The shorebird habitat west of Royal is
poor with no water east of the tower and too much water to the west.  I was
able to find a smattering of birds in the shallower water south of the
tower.  The habitat behind (north) of the headquarters and south of RT 126
is quite good holding 9 MARBLED GODWIT, 2 RED-NECKED PHALAROPE along with
good numbers of Greater & Lesser Yellowlegs, Western Sandpipers and 68 Great
Egrets.  Other shorebirds found south of the tower included Killdeer,
Semipalmated Plover, Long- and Short-billed Dowitcher, Wilson's Snipe,
Western & Least Sandpiper and both yellowlegs.
