Hello All,
I walked the loop around south and to the east of the Royal observation
platform where the first shorebird migrants of the season were encountered.
Highlights were:
Blue-winged Teal - 22
Cooper's Hawk - took blackbird from a shrub along the dike.
Greater Yellowlegs - 18+
Least Sandpiper - 10
Western Sandpiper - 2
Wilson's Phalarope - 10+
Bonaparte's Gull - 6
Caspian Tern - 2
Forster's Tern - 2 roosting with Pelicans. I do not know of any nesting
activity here this year.
