Stefan, I think that those position descriptions are the result of filling
a form in a crappy application + some legal and compliance review, and it
finally means nothing. For example, I discussed with the RWP people at
OOW19 but the position was HQ only at that time (was before covid). Then
they published for location=Cyprus-Skopje to hire Ivica even if it was for
HQ (but the covid came). And Oracle hired many people by finding the
person, and then opening a position with the right location.
So basically if you are interested in working in the RWP team, you should
contact Juergen Mueller, directly or through someone in his team. That's
what I would have done if I were still interested, even if my country is
not mentioned in the published description. But I'm not interested anymore
as I'll join Yugabyte next July ;) 💣🚀
Franck.

Thank you guys for all the insights.
I think I got the senior levels now but as most of you (who already worked
for Oracle or still work there) are doing remote work - why are these RWP
positions only a remote/office based position in the US?
For the European position you have to be in UK, Romania, Czech Republic,
Italy, Belgium, Ireland, Poland, Sweden or Denmark and it is not a remote
one? In EU you can work from everywhere due to EU laws ... so I don't get
this restriction :-)
Thanks.
