Hi Kirk,

I'll look into the issue with hyphens in marknames
for set-region and add-region.

Hence two suggestions, um three, after setting or adding a region do a
'beg' to place the head at the beginning of the newly created
region. Two, clear any other pre defined regions within the set or
newly added regions and creat a list-region command so one can get a
list of regions that have been set or added within a arger track like
the list-marks command.

That's a reasonable proposal for connecting regions. What we
already have for doing this is sequences. In Nama these are actually a
special type of bus, a group to which tracks can belong.

I think a new release candidate is a great idea but we best beat on
this a bit before releasing it. I don't know about other new users but
when some of these things don't work as described it can be very
discouraging after frustratedly trying to figure out what one is doing
wrong.

I agree completely, better we deal with immediate frustrations.

I am still very impressed and am looking forward when I can get it to
work as I expect it's supposed to. Oh and another silly question why
the optional '-'/'_' in commands? I'm always wondering if I should be
using one or the other instead of interchangeably.

The hyphen is easier to type, and with the grammar being
sufficiently flexible, I could easily make the change.

We'll keep working through your lists of issues.

Regards,

Joel

Woohoo!! Thank you very much! You done fixed it. Well, at least until
I break it again. 'grin'

After we can get a few more fixes in, I'll release it as a
new cpan distribution. I would appreciate if someone could
open and run the recent nama with a couple of older projects.

I think it will be better to have Jeanette's command,
as a regular command, i'm proposing 'set-sample-rate'
so that it shows up in the help system, which I'm also
sniffing around.

your humble nama nurser,
