You know, I was just getting ready to write you with a couple bugs and
a request for a list-regions command.
First of all there's a bug with hyphens, not sure about underscores,
in mark names. I couldn't get set_region or add_region to work with
marks like start-dr or dr-start. It always throws an error. I poked
around looking at the region.p code but my perl just isn't there
enough to decipher it.
Also there is something weird with region boundry testing. I marked
two pieces one with set-region ad the other with add-region within the
same track and when I played the set_region it was fine but then when
I did the add-region and tried playing it both regions played at the
same time. It was a very interesting effect but not wished for. I also
noticed the length of the add-region section seemed to show the
original length or at least where I was in the original file with gp
even though That should have been well outside what would be valid for
the much smaller region.
Hence two suggestions, um three, after setting or adding a region do a
'beg' to place the head at the beginning of the newly created
region. Two, clear any other pre defined regions within the set or
newly added regions and creat a list-region command so one can get a
list of regions that have been set or added within a arger track like
the list-marks command.
I think a new release candidate is a great idea but we best beat on
this a bit before releasing it. I don't know about other new users but
when some of these things don't work as described it can be very
discouraging after frustratedly trying to figure out what one is doing
wrong.
I am still very impressed and am looking forward when I can get it to
work as I expect it's supposed to. Oh and another silly question why
the optional '-'/'_' in commands? I'm always wondering if I should be
using one or the other instead of interchangeably.

Woohoo!! Thank you very much! You done fixed it. Well, at least until
I break it again. 'grin'
After we can get a few more fixes in, I'll release it as a
new cpan distribution. I would appreciate if someone could
open and run the recent nama with a couple of older projects.
I think it will be better to have Jeanette's command,
as a regular command, i'm proposing 'set-sample-rate'
so that it shows up in the help system, which I'm also
sniffing around.
your humble nama nurser,
