Thanks Tom -----Original Message----- From: Tahlia Thomas [mailto:tahlia@xxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: 19 January 2004 17:28 To: mswindowsxp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [mswindowsxp] Re: Re printer and ghost images The network print queue change can happen from an XP box if the locally logged-in user has print administrator rights (in a 2000/AD environment). We log in as local admin only (no network rights) for most client repairs because we kept running into issues like this. I have no comment on the other issue because we use Altiris RapidDeploy, and haven't had any printing problems. -----Original Message----- From: mswindowsxp-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:mswindowsxp-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Ibrahim, Mustafa Sent: Monday, January 19, 2004 11:09 AM To: 'mswindowsxp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx' Subject: [mswindowsxp] Re: Re printer and ghost images Yegulalp, Thanks for reply. Done that and it doesn't work mate. At one point deleting the print queue on the client actually removed it from server end (or so I was told by my colleague as I wasn't there at the time). This I find hard to believe, but I believe my colleague. Have you had printers preinstalled in your image with default profile and everything? Using Imagecast that is? -----Original Message----- From: Serdar Yegulalp [mailto:thegline@xxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: 19 January 2004 15:34 To: mswindowsxp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [mswindowsxp] Re: Re printer and ghost images Sounds like there may be stuff that was in the print queue when it was imaged. Try shutting off the spooler service and then deleting any print jobs. > -----Original Message----- > From: mswindowsxp-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > [mailto:mswindowsxp-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of > Ibrahim, Mustafa > Sent: Monday, January 19, 2004 10:16 AM > To: 'mswindowsxp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx' > Subject: [mswindowsxp] Re printer and ghost images > > > quick questions guys.
