I have been following this thread, but came back to the beginning to reply.
Even if you can't find vbscript.dll in a search, just maybe following the
instructions to register it might find it.
Did you try a search for help at Microsoft?

I searched for it and did not find it.
Do you know why that might be?
That said, I searched for just vbscript and found all sorts of files that
are not named vbscript-anything.
Is there a way to get Win 7 to actually search for what I want and not what
it thinks someone else might maybe want someday???
