In order to have a graphic image in your signature, you MUST use html or
rich text as your mail format, so make sure that's what you are using at
work. However, a bmp file will not work in html...the only graphic formats
supported by html are gif, jpg (jpeg), and png (which is not supported by
some browsers so I recommend gif or jpg)

You need to open that bmp file in a graphics program and use File>Save As to
convert it to a gif or jpg. The basic rule of thumb is that line drawings
work best as gifs and photographs work best as jpgs.

Subject: [mso] email signature in Outlook 2002

Hi everyone,
Here's yet another Outlook XP question for you. I am having a hard time
getting my email signature to work properly. At our company we have a
signature format we all use, with our company logo and some text for the
name, position, phone number, etc. When I create the signature in
Outlook, it launches FrontPage when I choose Advanced Edit. My problem
is that our logo is a bitmap file -- I can put the whole thing together
just beautifully in FrontPage and save it in .html format, but when it
closes FrontPage and goes back to the signature function in Outlook, the
logo doesn't show up -- it's just a box with a red X in the corner (the
kind you see when you load an Internet page with a photo that's not
working properly). I hope that description of the problem makes sense.
If not please ask and I'll try to clarify. Any bright ideas out there?

Thanks,
Elise
