Hi John. Remember that the Office XP programs require more resources
and RAM than the earlier versions, so you might want to think about
increasing the RAM or replacing the operating system with one that is NT
based (lke NT, 2000, or XP).

Also, whenever I've seen this type of behavior and there was enough RAM
and the OS was one of the latest ones, the problem was with the video
card, so that's another thing I would check.

Good luck.

problem?

I don't know quite how to say what's goin on here, but I'll see what I
can
do. A couple users in my office have reported this and I've seen it,
they'll be working on a document in Word and after x amount of time in
the
program working on it as they scroll up and down making changes text
will
just disappear from the screen, sometimes it will appear a screen down
on
top of other text. The text is still in the document (verified by
selecting
all and pasting into notepad), but it's just gone from view, or
corrupted in
view. I don't have anyone else in the office complaining about this
(yet),
so I'm thinking it's a problem with the computer's (they are brand new
Compaq's), ram or video. But I wanted to be sure no one has a regular
problem with this in Word XP, I've never seen this in any version of
Word
myself.

Thanks.
