I don't know if this is what you mean, but the way I do it is by creating a
blank template (pot) and using that to start new presentations with the font I
prefer.
1. Start a blank presentation.
2. Click View>Slide>Slide Master
3. Click Insert>TextBox
4. Click Format>Font and choose the font and color you want to use.
5. Save the blank presention with a .pot extension.
From then on, just use your pot file to start a new presentation.
When you insert a text box, the default font will be whatever you chose.
