>I sure did. Sorry...but just remember that *I* never said it would work as a stand alone!! Someone else mentioned that you could use an Access DB without having to have Access...so that might have been confusing to you. But the fact does and will always remain that VBA *means* visual basic for applications...meaning it NEEDS an application to run. I did state that fact clearly. Sorry for any confusion! And yes, Visual Studio has VB and C++ in it. So if you have VS, you have the stand alone version of VB and you can create a stand alone front end with VB and use an Access DB with JET for the back end and compile it all into a stand alone EXE for distribution...along with the associated DLLs you'll need to install the program. But realize...since I believe you've never done this type of thing...you have quite a learning curve ahead of you to get a VB EXE with ADO working properly to install for a user as a software program!! Been there...done that!<smile> Good luck! Dian D. You must have the VB environment software for that! <End> I sure did. What about Visual Studio then? I have Visual Studio 6.0, which seems to contain Visual Basic, C++, FoxPro, and InterDev. Can I take the red off my face now? Thanks.
