Nope - you can buy the individual products, if you can find them, but they
are much more expensive than the full suite if you need more than one app.
What I meant was that I don't want an off-the-store-shelf solution - I
would like to think that my EULA entitles and enables me to visit a secure
website and download patches/plugins etc to make/keep my product uptodate.
NOT pay out again for another box, another CD, another manual that never
seems to be worthy of the name ...

I think I'd better stop grumbling. Maybe if I get back and do some work
we might be able to afford an upgrade.

LOL

Sorry..I hit send too fast on that last one...ooops

Anyway...Anne said "I would feel
happier, for instance, knowing I had upgraded Word and Excel to make them
better/faster/more appropriate to my needs on a modular cost basis than
having paid out for something that perhaps contains substantial
improvements to - say - Access which I hardly use but which is part of the
Office Suite I've purchased."

Well...you CAN buy the individual programs here in the States...tho I have
never seen the advantage in that, cuz you pay more for two individual
programs than you do for the whole suite....but, I'm curious...you can't
do that in the UK? Or, are you saying you buy the whole suite so the
programs within it are compatible?
