Well, Peter, I can't reply to some of your complaints cuz I don't use the Reader "Pain" so this hasn't affected me....but I can reply to this one: 3) My email views typically use an "unread" filter. In XP, I could click on the "mark as read" icon and have a msg or group disappear from view. Now it only is marked as read and remains visible until I leave and return to the folder. This makes my reading routine more cumbersome. You can use the new feature....look at the bottom of your Folder List and you will see some Search Folders...use the Unread messages one and right click on it and click on "customize this search folder"...then add all the folders where you want to see the unread messages...then group this search folder by Folder and you will have all the unread messages in there, grouped by their folders...I really like this view Also, at the top of your folder list you see Favorite Folders? You can just drag your Unread Messages folder up to there, so it's easily seen and accessible from there. If you want to see more about how these views have been greatly improved (in my opinion), read my review here: http://personal-computer-tutor.com/abc3/v28/linda28.htm It sounds to me like you are still trying to control your views in the Outlook 2002 way...if you get into the new features, I think you will see that the views are even more customizable than ever.
