Ok...as usual, I'm not really understanding....but if there's nothing on a
document but a paragraph mark, that's by design....open a brand new blank
document and turn on your paragraph markers and you will see, by design,
every document has a paragraph mark....so, the one you refer to is not a
"stray"
If, however, what you are saying is you don't want that last blank page,
just go to the page before it and click at the VERY end of that page and
keep hitting your delete key until that last blank page is gone....or open
the document in Print Preview and click on the Shrink to Fit button and that
will remove the blank page at the end.
If this is NOT what you are saying, please give us more details...do you or
do you not want that last page to be blank?
However, I have NO idea why a blank page at the end of a document would
cause a word.exe error...I'm assuming you mean a winword.exe error...and
what is the EXACT error? Click on the Details button of the error message
and tell us what it says.

Hi All, especially Word Gurus.
We print envelopes to a Pitney Bowes 790 printer. The data for the
envelopes comes from a mail merge. Because of our network, sometimes
it's easier with a small print job to copy merged envelopes document to
a new document and print locally.
Here's the problem. We have a template of the envelope size,
alignments, etc. that we paste the copied envelope document to. Because
the original document is the same dimensions and alignment, the paste
works and most of the time, the envelopes print just fine. Sometimes
though we get a word.exe error. The problem seems to be because of a
stray paragraph mark in the very last section of the pasted document.
The last section of the document is blank except for that stray
paragraph mark. I've tried six ways to Sunday to get rid of that last
page to no avail.
This problem does not happen if we print the same document to our
Hewlett Packard 4300 printer.
Odd, no?
Word 2000 with latest patches.
Any thoughts or advice appreciated.
