Hi Ron, I think that it has happened a few times when people have bought these kits and due to problems they cannot sort out give everything up which is a shame. I know someone building the A3 and he once thought of selling it as scrap so I enquired but he decided to keep it. I know he has not done a lot to it for about 12 months now. There is usually someone who can help these people but unfortunatly it can take a lot of time. Mine has taken me a lot of time in the last 12 months to get to a running loco (not very good yet but getting there) but it will be next year now before it can be finished. Overall then this is about 4 years for mine so, so much for the advertised 200 hours. I have about a 12 page document of problems regarding my A4. Nice to know another loco runs well though, she should be proud of herself. I have seen a 9F but it was heavily modified before it would run. Garry MODEL ENGINEERING DISCUSSION LIST.
