Chris, I had a nose on Google and 30A seems to come up with Hardinge. Unfortunately I've no idea what method of attaching they used. Unfortunately my local P-B agents don't know what a 30A is .... And they're pretty good, obscure P-B and Crawford stuff is usually a doddle for them, they've helped me out with advice and bits for obsolete stuff before.... I can't find the normal P-B part numbers on it anywhere, the only thing I've managed to find so far are the matching numbers for the jaw and scroll (this doesn't mean it's one of the more accurate ones does it, I thought P-B selected all jaws and scrolls?) It's a 5" standard scroll 3-jaw and when I got it, it was on a Boxford backplate, or at least a 1.5" register/1.5x8tpi thread backplate, which to me means Boxford.... Did Boxford do a lathe (or something with their nose) called a 30A? Any help gratefully received cos I'd like to get a set of outside jaws for it without having to lug it along to a show and go through one of the scrap-merchants box of jaws..... chrisc ________________________________________________________________________ This e-mail, and any attachment, is confidential.
