Not sure if it helps, but a pal has been building a Stuart 5A, on an ML7. I am due to see him next week so can ask if he has had any special problems with making it on a small-ish lathe. I dont see any reason why major items cannot be fabricated rather than cast. No doubt Tel will comment on that too.
