I agree with everything you say, but I think fatigue must also play a part,
because the teeth are flame hardened and less ductile than the rest of the
blade.
The blades I get from Axminster these days, seem a lot better than those I
have used in the past, and less prone to loosing teeth. It's well over a
year now since I discarded a blade.
