Hmmm ... not that I knew of. But then again I'm surprised that your system 
refuses to detect itself as 64 bit able. I'm not sure whether other people who 
compiled on OSX did so in 32 or 64 bit.

As a corollary, the fact that your BOOST compiled itself into 32 bits also is 
a hint that there's something interesting happening.

Anyone else out there who has a Mac and could do some compilation tests, 
please?
