Well, understand you don't buy a 500 gb SSD for a computer! You buy
something like a 128 gb or possible 256 gb SSD for your OS and applications
and then you buy a 7200 internal or external drive for your other files. The
advantage of a SSD is the quick start up time and the quick startup time of
the application. :You are not going to notice the difference in pulling
files off of a slower drive unless you have huge size pictures and videos on
it pulling from it. It don't take that much power to pull a podcast or music
file or word processer file from another drive. JST

Because I trust my drives taht make noise. I can listen to them wiht a coil
and amp and know if they are broken. and again 1000 dollars for a 500 gig
drive? I'll wait.
