I am so very impressed with Speranza's wealth of knowledge and vastness of
content shared. In fact, I can say this generically about all of you that
participate in this group. I remain silent much of the time because I feel I
have little to add. Still, I want you here in lit-ideas to know how happy I am
that Lawrence Helm shared this wonderful place with me! It is a great place to
learn so many things. You are my favorite late night spot for reading.
As an aside, there are true troubadours alive and well and making an excellent
income from their music. Many of them sell their compositions to "stars", so
they can afford to tour. The group that I know and care about are all original
composers, singers and musicians and about 11 are graduates of the new
"Troubadours school" Berklee College of Music. I'm sure Berklee would not
appreciate being boxed as a troubadour school, but there it is. :)
And one other thing. I found a link that showed poets that have committed
suicide. It was quite a startling list.

How sad for all of us!
