I saw no sign that Wensleydale was a closet Scot; she always sounded like a 
Londoner to me... as do all the others, which is odd because Cheddar, the Buff 
Orpington, is the only one with close genetic ties to that part of the world.  

Wodehouse and wode are but a few letters apart though, so who knows?  
Implications are not my line.
