I saw a movie tonight that I liked, Runaway Train with Jon Voigt. It was
working through issues that are sometimes danced around in philosophical
phrases around here, such as moral ambiguity. The Jon Voigt character was
somewhere between Nietzsche and Sartre, more Nietzsche I thought. Another
major issue, don't know what, if any, philosopher to credit, is the nature of
humans. The issues overall are very relevant to today's war on terror. God of
course at the end just like in real life. All rolled up in a good movie, not
more violent than it needed to be. I recommend it.
