I now see I managed to repeat some of Marlene's points. Sorry.

But, I'm not a part of the Obama campaign. I'm still dealing with the sorrow that McCain has changed so much that he is willing to do whatever in order to win.

Marlene, here's a piece by a right wing British (and American) journalist on that very point

(there are other such pieces)

Hi, Lawrence,
But, I'm not a part of the Obama campaign. I'm still dealing with the sorrow that McCain has changed so much that he is willing to do whatever in order to win. Thus, the article was of interest to me in that respect. (Plus the HR perspective--and, if Obama had to pick a VP using leadership knowledge of creating a 'team' [he was a community organizer--and that is alot of what you do in that sort of a position--I work with alot of them...] So, Obama chose someone to help him create a team -- to help guard the nation. He picked to cover his back--the expertise Joe Biden brings is pretty broad. He didn't select in order to please a section of his party [as McCain did--) Mostly, I had been pausing along with a lot of people to see who each selected as the VP. I had hope with McCain, but he's not the person he was once, I think. I'm concerned that his bowing to the forces running him will carry over into how he runs (or tries to run) the nation.
