Andreas: Pluto is gone.
It's still in contrarian orbit. Personally I approve of the
ouster, but not for astronomical reasons. By naming an
pseudo-planet after Pluto, stargazers privileged the
downside. They could have named the wanderer after Pluto's
brother, Zeus. Surely Zeus deserved a planet so capricious.
Still I can imagine the slogans:
"Bush's must be blamed; Pluto was renamed."
"No blood for astral objects."
