I'm working on this now and I seem to make some headway. The merging is
very tedious but I'm down to 9 regressions (from 10). There still are
some commits to go, so there is hope for more regressions slaying :-)

I finished most of the merging, so we are more or less up-to-date with
Mike's changes. A lot of regressions are gone in the UEB tables. I had
hoped that some of the regressions in the test suite would go away, but
unfortunately only one is gone from the list that I talked about
previously.

So we are down to 9 failing test files. The failures most likely are
still due to computer braille and mixed numbers and caps.

As I said previously I would like to find a solution where we can keep
gnulib.

9abfae5 * Added noTerminator mode option. Updated lou_compare to be able to 
set that mode.

I would like to have some minimal documentation, as to the purpose of
this mode, so we can add it to the liblouis documentation.

c3bc95d * Replaced rindex with strrchr.
fbafdb0 * Added file reading and writing to lou_translate.

This changes the command line API of lou_translate to take file names
instead of just translating the arguments. Could this not be achieved
with a small wrapper script without breaking backwards compatibility?

I pushed this to a branch and created a pull request
https://github.com/liblouis/liblouis/pull/161. Davy, can you look at it
and make sure I didn't screw anything up.

I will not have time next week to work on this, but I really hope that
Davy and Mike will pick it up from here. I might have some time to work
on this the following week.
