Gary:

First - Hear, Hear!

From one who decided on the same "Citizen's Divorce" late last year, I applaud
you for cutting the "Cord of Pain".

My Leica experience was fraught with sublime pain, punctuated by the
appreciation of finely crafted but obsolete tools. I don't think anyone put
out better machinery or glass.

But you can't coax a great photo out of an R8 or R9 (I had both) by fondling
them.

I still frequent the LUG because it's a fine group of men and women who really,
really care about photography. Many of whom now submit Canon, Nikon, Oly,
Hassy and other digital images that actually originated on a card in their
camera.

Not the end of the world when you switch. It's just different, and you take
way more photos in even worse light of things that are moving. Truly a guilty
pleasure.

I'm another who is absolutely interested in hearing back from you about your
new kit and what made you decide to buy that particular kit. I went with5D
MkII, but that's just me. Several great bodies out there so I know you'll
become a lay expert on each and then pull the plug.

Good Hunting!
