Good Afternoon, Bill!
Your illustrations of your day are impressive, a memorable sunset and an
art moderne view of the ice fishermen ending their day, for which I
thank you.
And I thank you for your kind words. The fishermen was a shot just begging to
be taken. But, the were a very long way away. You'll note the 400mm (800mm
efl) setting used.
It has not yet ceased to amaze me what you can do with modern, image
stabilization - It would simply not be possible to hand hold anything at 400mm,
before IS came along!
I have little to show for yesterday other than a couple of naps, a
dinner of left overs, and a streamed movie, Places in the Heart, "and so
to bed."
In the evening, we rented/watched the 2017 remake of "Murder on the Orient
Express", with Sir Kenneth Branagh, Dame Judi Dench, Johnny Depp, Penélope
Cruz & Daisy Ridley, among many others. The digitally generated backgrounds
are a bit hokey in spots but, overall, the show is well worth watching. Acting
was consistently good and Sir Kenneth creates a very credible Poirot.
Oh, and waiting to hear of Aram's venture to Yosemite on Christmas day,
which I assume was closed by our government's shutdown.
Perhaps he jumped the gate and hiked in???
I, too, am waiting with bated breath.
David.
