How much do you value accurate, saturated colors? What value do you place on the last 10% of resolution (however that's measured)? When discussing the merits of the 280mm f/4 APO-Telyt, I feel the same way Aram does about the 100 APO. I can certainly make pictures with a less-expensive lens (and I did so for many years), but the image quality the 280 APO delivers inspires me to use it more, and to make the extra effort to get the most out of the lens. I haven't figured out how to put a monetary value on this. This might sound like an evasive non-answer but the value and worth of the tool is something only you can determine for yourself. 280 pictures: http://www.wildlightphoto.com/280a40.html Doug Herr Birdman of Sacramento http://www.wildlightphoto.com ------ Unsubscribe or change to/from Digest Mode at: http://www.lrflex.furnfeather.net/ Archives are at: //www.freelists.org/archives/leicareflex/
