Oddly enough both the issues below were related. It was IVAP that copied the VisualC++ library files to the external drive. It does this to install the MTL Library but something obviously went wrong. It normally installs the C++ file set in the Temp folder to run the MTL install but for some reason the files went to the external drive. As IVAP then couldn't find the files to run the MTL installer the whole process came to a halt. A second attempt proved a bit better so I should now have the IVAP software in FS9 and a working MTL Library. I now have to run the MTL Installer again to add more AI aircraft but will confine this to the JB offerings if I can find them. bones bones@xxxxxxx http://woodair.net -----Original Message----- From: Fossil [mailto:fossil@xxxxxxx] Sent: 12 August 2011 15:04 To: 'jhb@xxxxxxxxxxxxx' Subject: RE: [jhb] Re: FS install Further checking shows that the VC-RED.msi file set is nothing to do with FS - it's the Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package. How or why I've got this is still a mystery.. Now to find out why the IVAP install failed... bones bones@xxxxxxx http://woodair.net -----Original Message----- From: jhb-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jhb-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Frank Turley Sent: 12 August 2011 07:11 To: jhb@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [jhb] Re: FS install I have the SDK installed, I use the ACE tool for producing digital gauges, I think I used the default location inside Microsoft Games.
