I suspect it may be part of the FSX SDK I tried to install. It bombed just after starting it so I assumed nothing had happened. Why it decided on the external drive is a puzzle. Is anyone else using the SDK? bones bones@xxxxxxx http://woodair.net From: jhb-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jhb-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Frank Fisher Sent: 11 August 2011 18:36 To: jhb@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [jhb] Re: FS install No Idea, not part of either FS9/FSX install. Could try moving them off the external drive and seeing if it has any effect of either sim, or disconnect the drive temporarily. I have never installed either sim with an external drive connected, but cannot understand an uncommanded copy, sure it is not a copy command from the drive, some have an autobackup software, which I disable anyway. Both added files to the Roaming folder (as expected) but one of them seems to have copied files direct to my external drive - uncommanded I might add. I can't see why it did this. The files are quite a specific group. There's an Install.exe, a bunch of DLL's a VC_RD.cab file and a VC_RED.msi file. Has anyone come across these and know what they are for? bones bones@xxxxxxx http://woodair.net
